Application writing and consortium building: the Virtual Resident Partner level in practice

The success of a good R&D idea often depends on navigating the application system. The project generation service of the Zsámbék Future Industry Science and Innovation Park helps with exactly this – and it is this service that also brings to life the second level of the park's business model, the Virtual Resident Partner.

The park's project generation and management service accompanies partner companies from the identification of application opportunities to consortium building and the compilation of the application. This is especially valuable in the case of domestic and EU R&D applications (such as Horizon Europe or NKFIH consortium calls), where a successful application requires not only a good idea, but also a properly structured consortium, clear division of tasks and costs, and an experienced application writing background.

How does this become a business model?

In the four-level partnership model of ZSTIP, this service embodies the second, Virtual Resident Partner level: ZSTIP Nkft. submits a proposal in consortium or subcontractor form, together with the partner enterprise – typically for the implementation of research and development activities. The parties record the division of project tasks and budget before submission, and the park area is chosen as the location for implementation, if possible.

Why is this worth it for the business?

This form is ideal for those who want to start an R&D project with a grant source and shared risk, without having to bear all the burden of writing a grant and building a consortium alone. The park's experience and network of contacts increase the chances of the grant being successful, and joint implementation ensures close cooperation with the park from the start of the project.

More about the park's entire business model can be found at Business model page.
