The Rudolf Kalman Foundation for the University of Obuda, the University of Obuda and the municipality
of Zsámbék have set up an innovation centre where researchers and developers will experiment and produce
future technologies in the fields of cybersecurity, 5G/6G, artificial intelligence, medical technology,
AR/VR and robotics. This will strengthen the local industry and companies in the area by increasing
university technology transfer activities at home and abroad.
The investment, supported by the government, will include the brownfield development of the former
Hungarian barracks site. The site, currently in a very neglected state but with excellent industrial
development potential, has the important advantage of being located in an easily accessible location
close to the capital.
The long-term goal of the project is to develop the region, and the Zsámbéki municipality, which is
supporting the investment, can follow the scientific activities of Obuda University in the area of

The implementation and operation of the Zsámbéki Future Science and Innovation Park of Obuda University
will be carried out by the Zsámbéki Science and Innovation Park Nonprofit Ltd.
