The project and the online event series organized by WIPO for the technology and industrial parks of Eastern European, Balkan and Central Asian countries lasted for several months until the end of 2023. Our country was represented by the staff of the \u00d3buda University Zs\u00e1mb\u00e9k Future Industry Science and Innovation Park, the \u00d3buda University University Research and Innovation Center, and the Gy\u0151r Sz\u00e9chenyi University Science and Innovation Park.<\/p>\n
In addition to the V4 countries, representatives of the Western Balkans, Turkey, Ukraine and the Turkic countries of Central Asia were also present at the events. After the introduction of the technoparks, WIPO presented the special methodology based on which intellectual property is managed at the European and international level. After that, the parks were divided into working groups; \u00d3buda University was placed in a group with Kazakh, Turkish, Montenegrin, Czech and Slovak colleagues. The series of events provided an excellent opportunity to build professional and personal relationships and to develop international science diplomacy.<\/p>\n
During the meetings that lasted several weeks, the working groups identified good practices and common points that had emerged in the field of intellectual property management in the individual countries in recent years. They then recorded common needs that had emerged in several industrial parks, such as clear needs and missing services. Common needs included organizing training programs, acting as intermediaries between researchers, industrial partners, investors and other parties; finding forms of financing to bring technologies to the market; and introducing control systems that monitor the use of intellectual property rights.<\/p>\n
The experiences and the established network of contacts can be utilized at all three \u201cScience Parks\u201d of \u00d3buda University.<\/p>\n
