VIKI has become a full member of the Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster<\/h2>\n

\u00d3buda University, in cooperation with several companies, founded the Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster in March 2022, which was joined by the Defense Innovation Research Institute Ltd. on June 28.<\/p>\n

The Defense Innovation Research Institute (VIKI), established in February of this year, addresses the issue of technological resilience, including cybersecurity, as a priority task. On the one hand, it is an extremely important guideline for \u00d3buda University and its cooperating partners to carry out scientific, innovation activities and research and development in the future that serve the modern, effective cyber protection of the digital lives and assets of people, companies, and other organizations in the digital space. On the other hand, in order to increase awareness and knowledge about cybersecurity, the cluster members pay special attention to cooperation with domestic and international organizations. To high-quality, practical \u2013 basic, master, PhD and adult \u2013 training, so that the professional association can delegate highly qualified students to the labor market.<\/p>\n

The host of the gathering organized on the occasion of VIKI's accession, Prof. Dr. Levente Kov\u00e1cs, Rector of \u00d3buda University, highlighted that the Cluster's further objective is to play a decisive role in Europe by increasing national cyber defense capabilities and serving the domestic and international corporate sectors with cyber defense technology.<\/p>\n

On behalf of VIKI, P\u00e9ter Balogh, Head of the Resilience Center, said that the organization he represents, which has now joined the cybersecurity cluster, is building an accelerator program and a network of test centers based on research institutes with the aim of bringing together end users in the military with the best and most effective innovators.<\/p>\n

In addition, it provides development opportunities for companies conducting scientific research and technological developments through defense-related projects in consortia, in order to develop the most effective dual-use technological solutions for the needs of the military. For all this, it is essential to deepen cooperation with civilian partners. The Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster is based and hosted by the Future Industry Science and Innovation Park in Zs\u00e1mb\u00e9k and the University of \u00d3buda.<\/p>\n
