\u00d3buda University was among the first Hungarian higher education institutions to join the prestigious international organization with its outstanding professional program \u2013 informed Prof. Dr. Levente Kov\u00e1cs, the rector of the institution. The rector of \u00d3buda University received the membership document at the 39th annual general meeting of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), held at the PCT Cartuja Science and Technology Park in Seville on September 29.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00d3buda University has been elected a member of the International Association of Science Parks, which the institution achieved with its outstanding professional program. It is uniquely establishing a science and innovation park in three locations in Hungary: in Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r with a mechatronics innovation profile, in Kaposv\u00e1r with a smart industry, and in Zs\u00e1mb\u00e9k with a future industry innovation profile. The management of IASP, appreciating \u00d3buda University\u2019s diverse, multi-disciplinary concept \u2013 which thus connects three Hungarian regions to the research and development network \u2013 has welcomed one of the leading institutions of domestic technical higher education to its membership.<\/p>\n

IASP, founded in 1984\u00a0<\/strong>The world's largest innovation network brings together approximately 400 science parks and 117,000 innovative companies from 78 countries, with the European division representing nearly 160 members - Prof. Dr. Levente Kov\u00e1cs drew attention, highlighting that membership is not only an honor for \u00d3buda University, but the exchange of experience and up-to-date information can be of great help to the university in the development of science parks.<\/p>\n

The President of the Association of Science and Technology Parks (TTPSz), Norbert M\u00f3rucz, added to all this: following the European Division Meeting held in Budapest in April 2022, it is another historical milestone in the Hungarian innovation ecosystem that three Hungarian science and innovation parks have now become members of the organization. In addition to \u00d3buda University, Sport Life Science Park Nonprofit Kft., founded by the Foundation for the University of Physical Education, and the Wood Industry and Forestry Science and Innovation Park designed by the University of Sopron and TAEG Zrt., have also become members of the international organization. The adaptation of international examples and successful business models is effective in Hungary, and the recognition of the international organization and the community is a credible measure of the implementation of the Hungarian model.<\/p>\n
