\u00d3buda University, in cooperation with the Zs\u00e1mb\u00e9k City Government, is establishing a Future Industry Science and Innovation Park (ZSTIP), which will help strengthen local research, development and innovation activities and support the growth potential of the domestic economy \u2013 announced Rector Prof. Dr. Levente Kov\u00e1cs on March 25 at the conference presenting the project in Zs\u00e1mb\u00e9k. At the event, Minister of Finance Mih\u00e1ly Varga, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Rudolf Kalman \u00d3buda University Foundation, said that the integration of future industry technologies into the economy can only be achieved through close cooperation between universities and interested companies. At the event, the university founded the Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster with the involvement of companies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Rudolf Kalman Foundation for \u00d3buda University, \u00d3buda University and the Zs\u00e1mb\u00e9k local government have set a goal of establishing an innovation center where researchers and developers experiment and produce future technologies in the areas of cybersecurity, 5G\/6G, artificial intelligence, medical technology, AR\/VR, and robotics. This will strengthen domestic industry and companies operating in the area, and increase university technology transfer activities in Hungary and abroad.<\/p>\n

Laszlo Horvath<\/strong>Speaking about the important project for the city, the mayor of Zs\u00e1mb\u00e9k said that ZSTIP is well connected to the economic development program of the settlement. In line with the development of the region, in addition to scientific activity, industrial development and social convergence can also be achieved thanks to the cooperation established with \u00d3buda University, the mayor added.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Today, the university, together with the maintaining foundation and the Zs\u00e1mb\u00e9k City Government, begins the construction of the Future Industry Science and Innovation Park, where developments that lay the foundation for the future can be implemented \u2013 he said\u00a0Prof. Dr. Levente Kovacs<\/strong>, who called this a strategically epoch-making moment. \u00d3buda University is the only Hungarian higher education institution that can create three science parks in the country. With the change of model, the university also changed its approach: they want to create an entrepreneurial and investing institution and its environment that combines the existing knowledge base with R&D&I opportunities and industrialization. He emphasized that the university's management treats the governmental and international strategic framework for the implementation of innovation parks as a priority, thereby contributing to Hungary becoming one of the most competitive countries in Europe by 2030 in terms of a knowledge-based society.<\/p>\n

Michael Varga<\/strong>\u00a0Highlighting the significance of the project launched in Zs\u00e1mb\u00e9k, he emphasized that the integration of future industrial technologies into the economy can only be achieved through close cooperation between universities and companies interested in production, manufacturing, and use. With the science park development in Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r, Kaposv\u00e1r, and the recently announced Zs\u00e1mb\u00e9k, which was launched in recent weeks, \u00d3buda University can enter the arena of not only the Hungarian but also the international economy. The operation of the new centers provides an opportunity for university training programs to adapt almost immediately to the newly emerging needs of the market, and those working in the research centers can have a direct say in the development of future projects through their work.<\/p>\n

Dr. Gy\u00f6rgy Eigner<\/strong>\u00a0Associate Professor, Dean of the John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics, explained in his presentation that the university intends to implement a future industry knowledge center campus and hall building within the framework of the cooperation. They are preparing to establish a thematic research center and service space that, among other things, serves innovation-oriented, high-level research and, at the end of the process, the licensing and patent management of new technologies. According to the professional leader of the project, the centers will provide a realistic, modern and attractive research, innovation and service space not only for start-ups, spin-offs, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, large companies, but also for the public sector. The building will also house thematic research and prototyping labs, presentation and exhibition spaces, among other things. The innovation park to be established in an open and self-sustaining industrial innovation ecosystem is a knowledge-driven, high-added-value, environmentally conscious future industry model project focusing on the research and production of future industry technologies.<\/p>\n

Within the framework of the Science Park Program that covers the country, \u00d3buda University is implementing three developments worth 57.5 billion forints that will make Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r, Kaposv\u00e1r and Zs\u00e1mb\u00e9k the center of the country's future industrial development.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the event, a letter of intent for cooperation was signed by the companies supporting the project: ACPM IT Consulting Ltd., C3S Ltd., Combit Ltd., H1Systems Engineering Services Ltd., CraftUnique Ltd. and Yettel Hungary Ltd. (Au iFaceTechnologies Ltd. \u2013 CloudCasting Group will authenticate the document at a later date).<\/p>\n

Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster established<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00d3buda University has founded the Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster in cooperation with several companies, ACPM IT Consulting Ltd., Balasys IT Ltd., Falcon GT Consulting Ltd. and White Hat IT Security Ltd.<\/p>\n

The government-supported investment will redevelop the former Soviet barracks area in Zs\u00e1mb\u00e9k as part of a brownfield development.
