Representatives from the University of Óbuda’s Zsámbéki Science and Innovation Park and the Székesfehérvár Science and Innovation Park participated in the European Projects Working Group B2B online meeting organised by the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), which held 45 meetings with 22 organisations from 15 countries on 10 April. The aim of the meeting was to bring together science and innovation parks that are open to cooperation on common research topics and wish to form a consortium to participate in joint EU proposals.
Dr. György Eigner, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics of the Neumann János University, said: representatives of the Málaga Tech Park, Technoport Luxembourg and Technology Park Brno science parks had a discussion on Blockchain, cyber security, accessibility, centres of excellence, and fruitful discussions with the leading staff of the parks of Óbuda University. The next meeting will be held on 24 April in Glasgow, at the European Division meeting, at the University of Strathclyde’s Technology and Innovation Centre, with representatives of the University of Óbuda Parks in person.

Among Hungarian higher education institutions, Óbuda University was one of the first to become a member of the International Association of Science and Innovation Parks (IASP) on 29 September 2022, and the aim is that in the near future all three of the University’s Science and Innovation Parks (Kaposvár, Székesfehérvár and Zsámbék) will also become members of the IASP.
