The Zsámbék Science and Innovation Park (ZSTIP) also participated in the 2025 conference of the European division of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), which was held between May 7 and 9 in Bolzano, Italy. The event was hosted by the NOI Techpark.
The central theme of the conference, titled "How to create local impact with European significance?", examined the role of science and technology parks and innovation ecosystems in the development of regions, with particular attention to European cooperation, values, and priorities.
The professional program was organized around four main thematic areas: green technologies, food and health, smart and sustainable manufacturing, and digital technologies. During the presentations and panel discussions, several European science parks and research institutes presented their current projects, development strategies, and industry challenges. The green technologies section presented in detail the experiences of local implementation of the energy transition and the application of renewable energy sources in different regions. The food and health topic focused on food industry innovations, the development of precision healthcare, and related research. The smart and sustainable manufacturing section focused on the integration of digitalization and sustainability, while the digital technologies block discussed the latest technological developments and their industrial applications.
The second day of the conference saw the interactive workshop, which aimed to explore how science and technology parks can achieve sustainable, economic and social impact at local level, while engaging in the common European innovation space. The workshop was led by Vincent Mauroit, Director of Technology Transfer and Innovation Management at NOI Techpark, and the proposals made by the working groups were discussed by an expert panel, including Lena Miranda (IASP President, Linköping Science Park, Sweden), Jean-François Balducchi (Atlanpole, France) and Salvatore Majorana (Kilometro Rosso, Italy).
As part of the program, there was an opportunity to visit technological infrastructures, research laboratories, and participate in various leisure and cultural programs, which facilitated network building.
The conference enabled a useful international exchange of experiences and contributed to the Zsámbék Science and Innovation Park's active connection to European science and innovation networks in the future, strengthening its international cooperation and its positive impact on the local ecosystem.
