Audit-proof NIS2: compliance in practice – professional workshop

A professional workshop will take place on January 22, 2026 at the John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics of Óbuda University, focusing on the practical application of the NIS2 directive and preparation for audits. The event is jointly organized by the Hungarian Cybersecurity Cluster and the Software Industry Innovation Pole.

NIS2 is not just another compliance requirement: it will become a real business and management risk for many organizations from 2026. The expanded scope of the regulation, stricter expectations and management responsibility together justify that preparation should be based not only on documents, but also on working processes and demonstrable practices.

The aim of the workshop "Audit-proof NIS2: compliance in practice" is to provide participants with a comprehensive yet tangible picture of how to truly integrate NIS2 requirements into the organization's daily operations and how to stand out during an official or certification audit.

What is the workshop about?

The program provides practical answers to questions such as:

  • what changes will NIS2 bring for Hungarian organizations from 2026,
  • what management responsibilities and risks arise in connection with compliance,
  • how to build a short-term preparation roadmap,
  • what evidence does an auditor request during an NIS2 audit,
  • where compliance projects most often fail in practice,
  • why supply chain cybersecurity is a key issue.

The special feature of the workshop is that it presents not only a consulting and audit perspective, but also large corporate and educational experiences, so participants can learn about the real challenges of NIS2 compliance from multiple perspectives.
